Purifide x Switchboard, the national LGBTQIA+ support line
We are partnering with national LGBTQIA+ support line Switchboard to raise awareness of the charity and donate funds to help support the running costs of the support line.
Switchboard has been equipping the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies with information and assistance for five decades, and is a support line for anyone, anywhere in the country, at any point in their journey. Those that reach out can discuss anything related to sexuality and gender identity, from sexual health and relationships, to mental health - it is a space to explore, talk, and be truly heard.
All Switchboard volunteers identify as LGBTQIA+ and the support line is completely free and available whether that’s on the phone, via chat, or email from 10am-10pm every single day.
Purifide has an ongoing commitment to supporting all young people navigating acne, and as a gender agnostic skincare brand have always aimed to serve the skincare needs of adolescents, regardless of identity or expression.
From working with LGBTQIA+ creators to ensuring inclusive representation in messaging, the Purifide partnership with Switchboard makes a meaningful next step in providing real support to the community - going above and beyond what the brand can offer as support. As part of the partnership, Purifide will be covering the costs of running three Core Acceptance Training (CAT) courses where a cohort of up to 15 volunteers are given more than 30 hours of training in active listening skills, safeguarding, and the main topics that come up via the support line. These 30-45 volunteers will then contribute a minimum of 2160-3240 hours of listening support per year.
To increase the scale and impact of the Switchboard partnership, Purifide have decided to collaborate with Superdrug who have a long standing relationship and commitment with the charity. To raise further awareness, Purifide will be retailing exclusive packs of their new Skin Restore and current Fast Fix Power Patches both in-store at Superdrug and online.
The patches are waterproof, sweat-proof and makeup friendly. Each pack contains 23 invisible patches with two sizes.
