Use Acnecide to help keep on top of the 3 key causes of spots and acne. Acnecide treatments are topically applied to your skin and are clinically proven to help treat acne. There are 2 self-select products for mild facial acne, and several OTC Pharmacy-only products which may be suitable for body acne or if your acne is more than mild. (Your Pharmacist can help advise you).
All Acnecide treatments are powered by the active ingredient, Benzoyl Peroxide. It helps kill up to 95% of spot-causing bacteria on your skin. Spot-causing bacteria growing in blocked pores can trigger irritation and the eruption of the blocked pore into a spot. Reduce the bacteria, reduce spots.
But it does not stop there...benzoyl peroxide has exfoliant + pore-unblocking properties, which help to reduce comedones: the technical dermatology name for blocked pores, A.K.A. blackheads and whiteheads. All Acnecide treatment formulations combine the benzoyl peroxide active with our microsphere technology, which helps absorb excess oil while delivering glycerin to help keep your skin hydrated.

Acnecide and your skincare routine
When using active ingredients to treat spots and acne, your skin barrier can become more sensitive. It is not recommended to use other skincare products that can have irritating or exfoliant effects at the same time. Using the right cleansers and moisturisers alongside your treatment can help support your skin's tolerance to the treatment by helping maintain a balanced skin barrier, protecting and hydrating your skin.
